A delegation led by Suvendu Adhikari met with the Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Kolkata about the vandalism of the ISKCON temple in Noakhali, Bangladesh and the multiple incidents of violence against Hindu minorities in the neighboring country.

A delegation led by Suvendu Adhikari, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly of West Bengal, met with the Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Kolkata during vandalism of ISKCON temple in Noakhali, Bangladesh and multiple incidents of violence against Hindu minorities in the neighboring country.
As Suvendu Adhikari left the deputy high commissioner’s office in Kolkata, he said that if the violence is not controlled, the BJP will protest at the Indo-Bangladesh border at Petrapole in northern 24 Parganas.
“The deputy high commissioner was not even aware of the violence in Rangpur. We told him that if the violence is not stopped, we will sit in protest in Petrapole, on the Indo-Bangladesh border. The BJP is the protector of all sanatan dharmis like all. the sanatanis voted for us, ”said the deputy for Nandigram.

The delegation met with Deputy High Commissioner Toufiq Hassan, who said Adhikari spoke to him verbally and expressed his concern over the incidents in Bangladesh. He also said that Adhikari told him they would sit in protest if the violence was not controlled.
“The delegation met with us and verbally expressed their concern. They told us that if the violence was not controlled, they would sit in protest at the border. However, they will give us a written statement tomorrow, which we will share with our higher authorities. ”Said Deputy High Commissioner Toufiq Hassan.
