BJP boss urges Yogi Adityanath to run in Lucknow (East) assembly district

Lucknow, August 6 (UNI) BJP boss Dilip Srivastava urged Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to stand in the upcoming parliamentary elections in Lucknow (East) constituency in the state capital .

In a letter to the chief minister on Friday, Corporal Maithlisharan Ward Srivastava said that “if the chief minister comes from the assembly constituency of Lucknow (east) it will ensure the victory of the BJP candidates in Lucknow and its surroundings and will send a positive message to the entire political spectrum. . ”

At present, the Minister of Urban Development Ashutosh Tandon ‘Gopal ji’ represents the constituency of Lucknow East.

The BJP leadership has called on the main party leaders to stand for election. Following this directive, the chief minister and his chief deputy ministers, Dr Dinesh Sharma and Keshav Prasad Maurya, are also expected to stand for election. These three leaders are currently members of the Legislative Council.

Ayodhya BJP lawmaker Ved Gupta has offered Yogi his seat while Dr Sharma and Maurya are expected to run in Lucknow and Kaushambi constituencies.

There is also a demand for Yogi Adityanath to challenge the election of the Gorakhpur assembly. Yogi won the Gorakhpur legislative elections before being appointed CM in 2017.

In his letter, Srivastava said that if Yogi contested from Lucknow in the east, it would demolish the calculations of the opposition. The victory of the BJP in the Sitapur and Barabanki regions would be assured if Yogi contests the elections here, he said.

There are 22 municipal wards in the Lucknow (East) assembly constituency, 13 of which are with the BJP. “My letter to CM comes from all the BJP Corporators. We all want Yogi ji to compete from here, ”Srivstava said.
